The business team meets at various time each month.

The Ministry Team on Business Management and Stewardship shall lead the congregation in the stewardship of 
resources for ministry and the efficient oversight of fiscal responsibilities.
a) The Ministry Team oversees the regular financial procedures according to best practices and 
recommendations (such as the ELCA publication for financial responsibility) so that banking, donations, 
investments, timely payment of payroll and credit obligations are accomplished. Care is taken to protect 
individuals working with church finances and the congregation from risk. Monthly reports to the church 
council are prepared so that the status of income vs. expense in the general budget and reserves in 
dedicated funds are understood.
b) Annually, the Ministry Team reviews the insurance program of the congregation and prepares a forecast 
spending plan for the church council for its November meeting.
c) The Ministry Team designates to the Committee on Stewardship the purposeful work of new growth in 
giving and care of our resources.
d) The maintenance of office equipment is directed by this Ministry Team.
e) The Financial Secretary and the Bookkeeper relate to this Ministry Team and may be ex officio members.
